Launch draft privacy policy
Effective April 10, 2026. This draft explains the practical data flows the product currently uses and gives Daily 8 a minimum trust baseline before counsel review.
What Daily 8 collects
Depending on how you use the product, Daily 8 may collect your email address, username, display name, gameplay telemetry, score submissions, leaderboard/profile data, support requests, anti-fraud signals, and basic technical data needed to operate the app.
Guest play and local storage
Guests can play immediately. Guest progress may be stored locally in your browser so the product can preserve same-device state, favorites, or prompts before account creation.
Signed-in account data
When you create an account, Daily 8 uses Supabase-backed authentication and stores the profile, saved runs, badges, public rankings, and other account-linked product data needed for persistent play.
Public surfaces
Usernames, display names, leaderboard placements, badges, and public profile data may be visible to other players when those features are enabled for signed-in accounts.
How the data is used
Data is used to operate gameplay, validate scores, prevent fraud, maintain profiles and leaderboards, respond to support requests, and improve the product during launch.
Vendors and infrastructure
Daily 8 currently relies on infrastructure and service providers such as Supabase for auth/data and Vercel for hosting, analytics, and deployment operations. Final disclosures should be checked against the actual live stack before launch.
Retention and deletion
Operational, profile, and score data may be retained for product integrity, leaderboard history, anti-fraud review, and support follow-up. Founder review should define the real retention policy and deletion workflow before launch.
